Seek it. Crave it. Swear by it. Whether you work on a project, a performance, or yourself, know that the only thing that counts is to stand in front of a jury. And the only one that matters is: everybody else. Remember our tendency to narrate. Surely we seek to comfort ourselves by conjuring rosy scenarios. There is no doubt that a positive outlook is favorable to a negative one. At the very least, it motivates you to get started. What causes harm is staying in this state of imaginary bliss for too long. Maintaining such illusions over a long period of time detaches you from the texture of reality. Things never go completely as planned in the real world. Surely, the only way you can measure your worth is by putting it to the test.
